Avoid miracle-food claims
A list of foods cannot promise implantation or a live birth. Nutrition advice should support health and your practical needs, not create blame when treatment does not work. Ask the care team to explain the evidence behind any commercial diet or supplement.
Make the plan workable
Discuss regular meals, cultural preferences, food access, allergies and any existing condition. A plan built around familiar foods is easier to follow than an expensive list presented as essential for IVF.
Review supplements and medicines
Tell your clinician about prescription medicines, over-the-counter products and herbal preparations. Ask what is recommended before pregnancy for your circumstances. Do not stop prescribed medicines or add high-dose products because of a social-media claim.
Questions for your care team
Use the consultation to ask for an individual explanation rather than buying products first.
- Would a dietitian consultation be helpful?
- Which supplements, if any, are appropriate for me?
- Does my medical history change the advice?
Questions you may have
Can a particular food guarantee IVF success?
No. Avoid guarantees and discuss nutrition as one part of your overall care, not as a substitute for medical assessment.
